L’histoire devant vos yeux

Nous sommes situés dans la région du delta du fleuve Rouge, berceau de la civilisation vietnamienne, du catholicisme vietnamien et de la riziculture inondée. Né en Chine, dans la province du Yunnan, le fleuve Rouge traverse le nord du Vietnam, arrose Hanoï avant de se jeter dans le golfe du Tonkin.

Le fleuve, véritable artère de vie, doit son nom à la couleur brun rougeâtre de ses eaux fortement limoneuses. Notre territoire est ainsi marqué par la fertilité de ses terres et mais également par l’empreinte de l’histoire puisqu’il fut choisi au Xème siècle pour accueillir la première capitale de l’État féodal vietnamien.
